Working with The Prince Akatoki, Nonius was challenged by StayWell to design, develop, customize and deploy the technology required to offer guests an unforgettable experience. This experience needs to begin even before they arrive at the hotel, and then of course during their stay, after check-out and beyond.
To create this ongoing experience, Nonius delivered a set of products that provide touchpoints during the entire digital guest journey. These products include check-in online before arriving at the hotel, an all-encompassing hotel information app, high-speed Internet access, an engaging TV system that offers entertaining content, and a Chromecast feature that allows guests to see their own personalized content in the convenience of their room.
The digital guest journey
The Journey Begins with online check-in and the first contact with the The Prince Akatoki London App
Three days prior to arrival, guests receive an automated Online Check-in email to speed up the check-in process, reducing the waiting time on arrival.
Through the check-in confirmation email, the guest is invited to install The Prince Akatoki London App, which takes only a few seconds. Once downloaded, guests can explore all the benefits and services provided by the hotel, plus surrounding attractions, and touristic guidance to enjoy the best that the British capital has to offer. Through the App, it’s also possible to make reservations, requests and chat with hotel staff, all designed to create memorable experiences for its guests.
An Amazing stay with an outstanding Wi-Fi
On arrival at The Prince Akatoki London, guests will be surprised and delighted by a high-speed Wi-Fi connection that’s difficult to find in other local hotels. The Wi-Fi service for its guests is outstanding, providing 300 mbits/s on each guest mobile device used during the stay. The TV is IP, multi-language and full of premium content supplied by Nonius’ partner Sky. As well as a warm welcoming message for guests upon arrival in their room, the IPTV system offers convenient and useful information to improve the guest’s stay, including:

Fully customised products specially developed for this hotel
Nonius and The Prince Akatoki London have worked closely to create fully customised products that meet the hotel’s brand standards. The user interfaces for the Hotel App, TV system and Wi-Fi landing page have been deeply customized, in several languages, including Chinese and Japanese.

All the solutions provided by Nonius were designed, planned and implemented according to the very specialized needs and expectations of The Prince Akatoki brand. All of the implemented systems are monitored through a cloud-based dashboard. Available to the property’s IT & management team, this dashboard allows ongoing tracking of the status of the guest technology services and provides analytics on status, usage and statistics of all products used by guests.
