Reinforcing partnerships and conquering new markets – the hospitality technology solutions company Nonius marks the first half of 2013 with a string of successes.

Nonius, a leading technology company in hospitality technology solutions and guest experience excellence, signs a string of successes in the second quarter of 2013, expanding its presence and reinforcing partnerships in Portugal, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Brazil.

To date, 2013 has proved a pivotal year in Nonius activity in hospitality technology solutions as the company has signed on a record number of new hotel units and rooms. Nonius’ technologies are now serving more than 65.000 rooms that accounts for a 12% increase for the first 6 months of 2013.

Both old and new partners are taking on more of Nonius’ solutions, a clear vote of confidence on the company’s solutions and its commitment to delivering excellence. From current partners such as Pestana Hotels & Resorts, Portugal’s biggest 5-star hotel operator, to new ones such as Bourbon Hotels in Brazil, or the CS Hotels and Resorts, a string of new signings has seen the company successfully boost its market share worldwide.

Executing a strategy hinged on sustained growth and technological investment, Nonius continues to improve and expand its solutions portfolio, side by side with the great hotel investments of today. Case in point, Pestana Colombos, in Porto Santo, Madeira. This 5-star resort offers premium accommodation and services, including Nonius set-top boxes operating side-by-side with Bang & Olufsen TVs.

Nonius’ presence in Brasil has also become a prime focus of its activity, with the signing of the Bourbon hotel group in São Paulo, which bolsters the company’s already prolific business and adds to the existing installations at the Transamérica Group’s Faria Lima units in São Paulo.

 

On land and sea

Luxury tourism has reached an all-time high, and the rise in 5-star river cruise ships is a testament to this. Nonius’ flag already rides the rivers of Portugal, thanks to its partnership with Douro Azul, a cruise ship operator that operates ships for AMA Waterways and Uniworld – two of the most successful cruise companies in the world. This quarter has seen Nonius’ cruise ship business extend beyond the Portuguese borders and deep into the heart of Europe. Thanks to a partnership with Uniworld and DMT, Nonius now equips the River Royale, a 5-star floating hotel that fares the main waterways of Central Europe.
