JOB POSITION: Pre Sales Engineer
LOCATION: Maia – Porto/ Portugal 


Job description/specification 

We are looking for a dynamic Pre Sales Engineer with proven experience in Networking / Telecom to reinforce the Pre-Sales Engineering team at Nonius HQ-Maia. Experience with IT in the hospitality sector and in Wi-Fi/IPTV/Telephony  technologies will be valued.

Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Execute product/services quotes according to the templates;

  • Execute high complex proposals and project planning according to the templates;

  • Assist in the response to International RFIs, RFQs and RFPs for hotel groups;

  • Execute technical diagrams and create detailed proposal BOMs for communications and multimedia solutions for Nonius customers;

  • Execute and create documentation of surveys in Hotels for solution/project  quotation;

  • Execute the handover and monitoring of signed proposals to the Projects Team for deployment;

  • Provide pre-sales consultancy, trusted technical advice, by acting as technical expert in customer presentations to support business development;

  • Execute and present to the Area Manager a monthly report with individual KPIs/metrics;

  • Responsibility over the present technical solution required to address customer requirements that optimize value for both the customer and the company;

  • Responsibility to collaborate with the Projects Teams from Customer Service Department and/or Regional Units on the planning the implementation of the signed projects;

  • Responsibility to continuously learning new products and technologies relating to the job role;

  • Responsibility to maintain and develop the required technical knowledge by attending meetings, workshops and events;

  • Responsibility over mentoring and training Systems and Trainee Engineers;

  • Responsibility over compliance with the Sales Engineering Area, Sales Department and company processes.

Profile we are looking

  • You must be a passionate Sales Engineer, a great team player and have a strong sense of work ethics, responsibility and commitment;

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or any related field;

  • A minimum of 2 years experience  as Pre Sales/Engineering in Network Projects and Data Communications;

  • Knowledge of Wireless networks (Networking, switching, etc.);

  • Knowledged in IPTV;

  • Knowledge in VoIP Services;

  • Knowledge of Information Technologies applied in Hotel Projects;

  • Knowledge of different manufacturers and technologies;

  • Knowledge of network infrastructures (UTP, Fiber Optic PON and GPON, Coaxial);

  • Experience in product cost analysis, service costs and budgeting with respective calculation of the project’s net margin;

  • Strong sense of teamwork and customer-oriented;

  • Good communication skills;

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);

  • Good knowledge of Spanish (written and spoken);

  • Willingness to travel.
