Launch of a new web site
Nonius Software launches a new web site with a more sophisticated design, more contents, better organization of the information that is functionally friendlier to the user. The idea of creating a new site occurred from the need to expand and restyle the existing one so that it could give a better response and facilitate the information search to ones that are interested in the activities of the Nonius, its products and solutions.
ESA visits Nonius
The European Space Agency visited Nonius on September 28th with a purpose of a mid-term evaluation to the WGStargate project. This project had the financial and technological support of ESA. WGStargate is a combination of several technologies that will cover the deficiencies of network coverage in areas where 3G is not available, such as cruise boats that sail into rivers like Amazon, Nile and Douro or in even more remote areas with no ADSL connection. The final demonstration of WGStargate is scheduled for the second quarter of 2008. This demonstration will take place in a cruise boat of Douro Azul, that is a business partner of this initiative.
