OCTOBER 2008 - PRESENT AT IP CONVERGENCE - PARIS
On 21st to 23rd of October, Nonius was present at the IP Convergence 2008, in Paris. This fair takes itself as the main event in France, which concentrates the latest news and trends of ICT world. Nonius presented their products to potential business integration of their solutions on the French market.
SEPTEMBER 2008 - DEPLOYMENT OF AN INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM IN SANJOTEC
In order to fulfill the communication needs of this business center users, Nonius developed an integrated communications system which includes LAN / Intranet and Internet data communication, VoIP communications, IP CCTV system, Data Center system and an integrated management software.
AUGUST 2008 - WGSTARGATE AT DOURO AZUL'S CRUISE BOAT
Douro Azul’s cruise boat Douro Queen was recently upgraded from a WGHotel to a WGStargate solution. The main goal of this upgrade, among others, was to provide internet access to all passengers in areas where there is no 3G coverage.
JULY 2008 - NONIUS AND WAVECOM WORK TOGETHER IN "PORTO DIGITAL" PROJECT
Nonius and Wavecom are working on several projects for digital cities, under "Portugal Digital" program. Recently, the WGPublic solution was installed at "Porto Digital". The Oporto city has become a public hotspot for 1000 simultaneous users.
JUNE 2008 - GROWTH OF INTEGRATORS NETWORK
Nonius technology reaches the African continent. Inforsal is a Cape Verdean telecommunications integrator that recently has become Nonius partner.
We can also highlight the first projects of two national integrators: Novabase and Celta Comunicações.
MAY 2008 - INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP NONIUS / GRUPO DUARTE
Nonius and Grupo Duarte established a partnership to develop an integrated communication solution in order to establish the Eden Resort as a technological reference. This innovative solution allows the implementation of additional services, the improvement of the operational capacity, better communications with the guests and the investment’s optimization.
APRIL 2008 - WGSTARGATE FIRST DEPLOYMENT
WGStargate was installed at Porto Santo Line’s luxury ferry boat, named "Lobo Marinho".
The main goal was to provide a Internet access service to 1st class customers and to the crew, throughout the whole trip with reduced operational costs.

CeBIT, the world’s largest IT fair, was held during the 4th to 9th of March, in Hannover.

OCTOBER 2007 - LAUNCH OF A NEW WEB SITE
Nonius Software launches a new web site with better design, more contents, better organization of the information and more functional to the user.
The idea of creating a new site occurs from the need to expand and restyle the existing one so that it could give a better response and facilitate the information search to those who are interested in the activities of the Nonius, their products and solutions.
SEPTEMBER 2007 - ESA VISITS NONIUS
The European Space Agency visited Nonius on September 28 with the purpose of a mid-term evaluation to the WGStargate project. This project has the financial and technological support of ESA and it is a combination of several technologies that will cover the holes of network coverage in areas where 3G is not available, such as cruise boats that sail into rivers like Amazon, Nile and Douro or even in remote areas, where there is not even ADSL connection.
The final demonstration of WGStargate is scheduled for the second quarter of 2008. This demonstration will take place in a cruise boat of Douro Azul, which is a business partner of this initiative.

APRIL 2007 - VIP HOTELS CONTINUES TO CHOOSE WGHOTEL SOLUTION FOR THEIR HOTELS
VIP Hotels Group believes that providing Wi-Fi Internet to their customers is an advantage. Nonius implemented three more hotels with WGHtotel solution (Vip Executive Diplomático, Vip Executive Zurique and Vip Inn Veneza). Eight hotels from this group are already equipped with products and solutions from Nonius.

FEBRUARY 2007 — WGSTARGATE PROJECT STARTUP
The latest R&D project of Nonius Software, the WGStargate, started on February 1st. This project is sponsered by ESA (European Space Agency). The WGStargate Product Line is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2008.

DECEMBER 2006 - NONIUS IMPLEMENTS MANAGMENT SYSTEM IN EDV DIGITAL HOTSPOT
Nonius implements the EDV Digital Hotspot Managment System. The EDV Digital consists in the creation of digital community involving multiple cities/vilages. On 21 of December a network of 5 cities/vilages was inaugurated, Arouca, Oliveira de Azeméis, Santa Maria da Feira, S. João da Madeira e Vale de Cambra.

EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY approved its support to Nonius' most recent project, the WGStargate.
JULY 2006 - NONIUS IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH ESA FOR THE WGSTARGATE PROJECT
"The goal is to create a platform of Internet distribution throught satellite in remote places."
Nonius Software is negotiating a project with the European Space Agency (ESA). The project is called WG StarGate and it should start in November and aims to create a way of access through satellite, for example in boats and remote places, allowing a cost reduction and the maximum band possible.
FEBRUARY 2006 - WGHOTEL SELECTED BY VIP HOTELS
VIP Hoteles selects Nonius WGHotel solution as Billing / Managment plataform for Internet Access. In Febuary the solution was deployed in VIP Executive Azores, VIP Santa Iria and VIP Executive Art's. Next month will be deployed in VIP Berna and VIP Eden.
