The WGStargate Appliance is a Multi Service On-board Communications Appliance that enables Cruise Liners, public transportation vehicles, etc, to manage and guarantee high speed Internet access on the move, for corporate usage and offering Internet Access to their customers, at the lowest cost. This is achieved through an Intelligent Bandwidth and Link Selection Algorithm that manages the Links availability, available Bandwidth and Data. It combines Terrestrial and Satellite Links to use lower cost DVB-IP Satellite Services. WGStargate technology allows for the reuse of existing communications equipment leveraging previous investments. The boat is able to give Internet access to its customers throughout the cruise period selecting always the best performing access network at the lowest cost. Hardware The WGStargate SATCOM Appliance configuration and Internet Access service management is made through Web Interfaces. The WGStargate SATCOM Appliance has two Management Interfaces, administration and configuration. The WGManager is the Internet Service Management Interface. It is a very comprehensive interface since is oriented to the business model of target customer.
