Centralized Hotspot
WGPublic operation mode is specific to the implementation of Public Hotspots in Airports, Retail Centers, Exposition/Events Centres, Public Community Hotspots. The WGServer provides functionalities to support information and publicity services to the Hotspot user. Typically, unlike other applications where the Hotspot user can find a reception desk, in these public places there is no central desk to register for Internet access. The WGPublic allows the users to register online, purchase Internet via Paypal/Credit Card, or just get a free user/password Community Free Internet Access. The WGPublic is applied to centralized Hotspot scenarios, taking advantage of the WGServer Hotspot Gateway Functionalities, such as, Layer 3 Captive Portal, QoS, Traffic Shaping, FailOver, to provide a scalable, high availability, controlled Internet Service. Distributed Hotspot
The WGHotspotManager provides Authentication, Authorization and Accounting services to a distributed Hotspot Gateway Network. This operation mode exploits the WGServer Embedded Internet Billing/Management Software and Radius Server capabilities. The WGServer implements WIPSr Radius extension for maximum 3rd Party Subscriber Gateways compatibility. Associated to the WGHotspotManager, Nonius offers a Subscriber Hotspot Gateway, with all WGServer gateway functionalities, plus an Wireless 802.11 a/b/g Interface, scaled to a small sized remote Hotspot at a lower cost per unit.
